IT Technician
Job Description
Computer Technologies Group, Inc. (CTG) is currently seeking a highly experienced and self- motivated IT Technician to help with our growing customer base. This person will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to the clients of CTG. This is accomplished by the following: having excellent communication skills, having a solid foundation of technical knowledge and experience working with computers/systems, becoming knowledgeable of CTG’s products/services, having the expertise to develop comprehensive IT estimates and technical solutions, being able to implement the recommended solutions, and having the technical ability to service/maintain the clients’ systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Act as on-site and remote support for customer network and software
- Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance
- Draft proposals and statements of work for solutions
- Respond to customer requests for product or solution information
- Schedule and conduct routine maintenance service calls
- Documentation of service calls, etc.
Required Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer sciences or related field
- MCSE certification preferred
Required Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in customized interface development
Required Skills
- Demonstrates good working knowledge of the concepts of networking, switching, routing, Internet technologies, directory services, technical hardware, and IT security (firewalls, monitoring, antivirus, anti-malware, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all professional levels and cultures
- Demonstrates the ability to identify and resolve problems on-site and remotely
- Excellent judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong diagnostic skills
